Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger

Best. Series. Ever. Written. Everything about this series is perfect. Great morals, absolutely hilarious, the world building is just wow, her writing style is so fresh, and the characters... all of the are perfect. There is no underdeveloped or flat characters- it's just- just- oh, just move on and go read this series! ;)

The Leviathan by Scott Westerfield

Dora the Explorer has never said, "hey, kids! Can you say 'underappreciated?' so fast!"

My how this series is so well done. The steampunk style, the symbolic history represented- perfection.

Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

What makes this series nostalgic is that it is literally the face of my middle school years. What makes it one of the best series is it's not because I grew up reading it that makes me love it.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Let me tell ya, I am not a crier. But this series does it for me. It's full of amazing values, and it pantomimes and exaggerates many of the real problems in our world today. Collins demonstrates the power of television, propaganda, and representation. She tastefully points out the holes in marketing and campaigning through a beautiful, strong story.

Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling

There is a reason this is the most popular series in the world. The magic system is incredible, the world building stellar, the characters oh so awesome, and the school... well, it's incredibly dangerous but we all love it anyways.
